Marigold
The marigold is a type of flower and is the event flower for the _Icon.png){kind=icon}
Colorblaze Carnival. Its default color is orange. Other colors can be obtained through crossbreeding, but crossbreeding only works during the Carnival itself. As of 1.6.2, that means that there is no way to obtain new colors of marigolds outside of the Carnival. However, a planned feature may allow other colors to be obtained in another way.
When fertilized, marigolds have a chance at gaining a 
trim pattern by default. Marigolds that obtained a pattern before the 1.6 update obtained the 
ombré pattern by default instead.
Because it is an event flower, it only can be obtained and bred for the duration of the Colorblaze Carnival. Marigolds have a random chance at appearing in empty flower plots every day. It does not have seed packets. Only grown plants or older can be successfully moved with the 
Trowel. Plucked flowers cannot be used at the 
Seed Dispenser, making their flowers purely decorative.

Colors
Like other flowers, it is possible for marigolds to gain all flower colors through breeding. Unlike non-event flowers, successful breeding is only possible during the flower's event.
